We are looking for an organised and experienced Sales Assistant who has previously worked in a sales administrative role in an organisation with a warehouse and tangible products (preferably an electrical environment). The position requires someone that can work every second Saturday morning.

Duties:

  • Customer liaison, quotes and invoicing and work closely with the Debtors Clerk.
  • Costing, stock control and spreadsheets for reporting purposes.
  • Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs in co-operation with External Sales Executive or Business Developer at your allocated branch.
  • Service existing accounts & obtain orders
  • Establish new accounts
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Develop strong relationships with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and customer loyalty in building Herholdt’s customer base.
  • Calling on customers and servicing their needs
  • Find new sales leads
  • Sell products or services to businesses or consumers/customers and work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Maximise sales and provide excellent customer service while adhering to all company standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales.
  • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  • General administration

Requirements:

  • Minimum Matric
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
