This position is ideally suited for an experienced Key Accounts Manager in food commodities who is eager to join a small, forward thinking entrepreneurial enterprise that is focused on quality, efficacy, and sustainable growth.

The company engages in the trading of a variety of commodities, primarily sugar. They source products from multiple suppliers and distributes it to their clientele.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client interactions, handling orders, and driving sales growth through effective upselling strategies. There is an opportunity to earn commission by onboarding new clients, rewarding successful expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular client visits to ensure satisfaction and address any service-related concerns.
  • Manage and oversee client orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling to enhance client service and increase revenue.
  • Provide exceptional client service, maintaining a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
  • Drive new sales initiatives that are eligible for commission, focusing on acquiring new clients and expanding market presence.


  • Proven experience in key account management or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Drive and enthusiasm for achieving sales targets.
  • Must be conversational in Afrikaans to cater to a diverse client base.

This position is suited for individuals who are skilled in maintaining long-term client relationships and have a strategic approach to sales and client management. The role offers a stable base salary with the added potential for earnings through commissions on new client acquisitions and bi-annual bonuses, making it a rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.
