This opportunity is available at one of South Africa’s leading financial service providers with a portfolio that includes includes short-term insurers, health insurance as well as an insurance and personal finance comparison platform.

The position is for a highly skilled leader with a strong Digital Transformation background. You will provide accountable oversight to a portfolio of Digital Transformation initiatives, applying industry best practices to manage the intake, scoping, planning, staffing, execution methodology, and long-term road mapping of projects within the portfolio. 

This role requires a deep understanding of digital technologies, strong leadership skills, and experience managing teams. You will work and collaborate across various organisational functions to ensure business value is delivered per organisational strategic goals.

  6. Innovation Strategy, Pipeline and Roadmap (Digital Transformation Roadmap)
  7. Project Team Management
  8. Project Governance
  9. Program/Portfolio Management
  10. Leadership and Direction

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field)
  2. Relevant industry certification such as PMI Project/Program/Portfolio Management Professional PgMp (Essential);

Advantageous:

  1. Master’s degree (MBA)
  2. PfMP/P3O/ Scaled Agile

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  1. At least 10 years of work experience in a project management capacity, leading multiple initiatives;
  2. At least 5 years of Portfolio management experience required;
  3. 5 or more years in a leadership position.

Advantageous:

  1. 4 or more years of direct experience leading digital transformations or digital ecosystem implementations.
